Hungry Tiger wins Australian Moth Championship

Consistent good results have seen Les Thorpe take home the 2005 Australian Moth Championship. After close 2nd places in both 2002 and 2003, this is Les’ first Moth Australian Title, and the 7th Australian Championship win for the Hungry Tiger design.

The series was sailed from Black Rock Yacht Club in Melbourne as a lead up event for the 2005 Moth World Championships. The Hungry Tiger proved to be the best all-round design in the range of conditions, with Tigers taking 8 of the top 10 places.

More information on Hungry Tigers is available on the International Moth page, or the Australian Moth Class web site.
